this afternoon the sun is out and it is doing like an
aperture to all the cells and to the organs
of all the people on all the outdoor benches to all the people
sitting on stoops
today all the cells in all the organs of the human beings and
all the cells in all the amphibians and the barns
and the clocks are going through this process of dying and
rebuilding
the process that is constantly going on in all the bodies in
all the skins and livers of all the beings
all the cells in the inside and the outside of the skins being
touched all over their bodies all the time
all the protrons and all the neutrons and the electric charges
and the currents of sadness and all the
over the counter drugs and eric satie and all the coffee and
the cancer and the styrofoam cups
impinging and sending messages and becoming a part of and then
withering and dying away
from all the bodies of all the other cells
today my cells just ate a tuscan crepe and are greeting french
roast that is very dark and a little bit too strong
today the cells on my body pressed against the cells of another
body upon waking
the cells of my body shedding and rebuilding in that moment
of pressing in together upon waking
and the cells in the other body were pressing in from the other
side towards my body
shedding and building up and withering the old ones away
this is a very serious thing being all these cells and organs
being touched from the outside

the protons and the neutrons

to be watching the air and the animals and the plants and the
water and the soil change
to be watching the amount of people living in the world change
to be watching all the good decisions and all the bad decisions
and meanwhile all the people in the world
keep giving birth to more and more and more people of the world
and the soil and the mountains and the polar ice caps keep
changing and changing
