we blend cities into mountainsides and trees blend into borderlands
borders stand in clay and the footpaths stand out amid undergrowth
under lawns wildlife buries itself and our dead are buried in greenery
green to remind of evolution and remind life to pull from the bottom
bottoming out remains shameful and blood remains a faithful stain
stained glass depicts passion and photographs depict past deductions
deduct one imprint from each shadow as imprints alter who were we
