a drink a day will never sustain this gaze pulling eye to corner and centered
on water gated and faded into clouds and smoking stacks fields between
houses and homes with shell ships dancing alongside sandbars a perfect
view for the church spire whose tower threads towards cliffs and distance
of sea in scope from sky to pathways beyond where passersby pay respects
to the life living far below their feet tuning up to seek another sock another
shoe another day in industry structured by weather and waves
